In a night of celebration for football excellence, Ousmane Dembele was crowned the FIFA Men's Player of the Year, while Aitana Bonmati took home her third consecutive award in the women's category. The Paris St Germain and France forward's impressive season, which saw him score 35 goals and lead PSG to their first Champions League title, earned him the top honor. Bonmati, a stalwart for Barcelona and Spain, dominated the women's competition, claiming her third Ballon d'Or and helping her team win the domestic treble. The 28-year-old Dembele's accolades also include winning the Ballon d'Or earlier this year, while Bonmati's impressive resume includes a Champions League player of the season award, a domestic treble with Barcelona, and a spot in the Euro 2025 final with Spain. Other notable winners included Sarina Wiegman, who took home her fifth best women's coach award after leading England to a European Championship title, and Luis Enrique, who won the men's coach award for PSG's historic Champions League win. In the goalkeeper category, Hannah Hampton of England and Chelsea won the best women's goalkeeper award, while Gianluigi Donnarumma of Manchester City claimed the men's award for his role in PSG's treble win. Mexico's Lizbeth Ovalle took home the FIFA Marta Award for her incredible scorpion kick for Tigres, while Santiago Montiel won the Puskas Award for his overhead strike in an Argentine Primera match.
