Duke coach Jon Scheyer has expressed doubts about the availability of big man Patrick Ngongba II for the team's first-round March Madness game against Siena due to a sore right foot.
Ngongba has missed four consecutive games and was still wearing a protective boot on his right foot in the locker room, using a knee scooter to limit his walking.
The 6-foot-11 sophomore has started 28 of his 29 games, averaging 10.7 points and 6.0 rebounds, and has been a key contributor to the Blue Devils' success.
Scheyer said that Ngongba has not experienced a setback in his recovery but is not yet ready to return to the court.
The team will continue to monitor Ngongba's progress and make a decision on his availability day by day.
