Sherrone Moore, the former head coach of the University of Michigan football team, is set to be sentenced on Tuesday after pleading no contest to two charges related to alleged inappropriate behavior involving a staff member.
Moore faced charges of trespassing and the malicious use of a telecommunications device concerning his former executive assistant, Paige Shiver.
According to Michigan law, the highest penalty for the malicious use of a telecommunications device is six months of incarceration, while the maximum sentence for criminal trespassing is 30 days.
Victims or their relatives are typically given the chance to deliver a statement during sentencing, but there are no confirmed speakers scheduled for Moore's hearing.
Shiver's legal team has issued a statement, saying that Moore 'held enormous power over her professional life' and created an environment where she felt pressured and intimidated.
