Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has been cleared to start against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, ending a three-game absence due to a dislocated left elbow. Daniels, the 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year, suffered the injury during a loss to Seattle on November 2, but thankfully, subsequent tests revealed no significant structural damage. The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner had a successful week of practice, throwing well and gaining full clearance from coach Dan Quinn. Despite the team's poor season record of 3-9, Daniels is eager to return to the field, driven by his passion for the game and a desire to learn and grow. With Daniels back, Washington will have its entire projected starting offense intact, except for running back Austin Ekeler. The team has also received positive news on the availability of linebacker Bobby Wagner, who is expected to play despite missing practice time this week. Daniels has shown impressive stats in his six starts, completing 62.5% of his attempts for 1,184 yards and eight touchdowns, while also rushing for 262 yards and two touchdowns. His return is a boost for the Commanders, who have struggled with injuries all season, including wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown, who have missed a combined 17 games.
