The trade of Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots has hit another roadblock. NBC Sports' Tom Curran reported that the Los Angeles Rams had backed out of a potential deal due to health concerns over Brown's knee injury.
The Rams privately rejected the deal because of the state of Brown's knee, and even the Patriots' healthcare personnel are expected to reach the same conclusion upon assessment, which may lead New England to reevaluate the reported asking price.
The Eagles had asked for a first-round and second-round pick combination for Brown, but the knee issues have complicated the trade. Brown has experienced knee problems throughout his tenure with the Eagles.
The trade's status remains uncertain, with the Eagles' general manager sticking to the script that Brown is still a member of the team.
