Football icon Lionel Messi is in Delhi as part of his India tour, where he will meet the Chief Justice of India, Surya Kant, and the Army Chief, Upendra Dwivedi, at a Member of Parliament's residence. Messi was initially scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but the PM had to cancel his trip to Delhi due to a conflicting international tour. The Argentine footballer's itinerary includes a 50-minute 'Meet and Greet' session at a city hotel, followed by his meeting with the Indian dignitaries. The gathering is expected to include the Argentina Ambassador to India, Mariano Agustin Caucino, and other top government officials, including the chief of Enforcement Directorate, Rahul Navin. After the meeting, Messi will head to the Ferozshah Kotla Stadium, where he will engage in a friendly match with Indian celebrities and hold a football clinic with 22 children. The Argentine footballer will also exchange gifts with two Indian cricketers and attend a grand welcome ceremony, featuring music and other programs. Messi's convoy will depart for the airport after the event, marking the final day of his India tour. The meet-and-greet session and other programs are part of the 'GOAT India Tour', which aims to promote football and cultural exchange between India and Argentina.
