Liverpool stormed into the Champions League quarter-finals by thrashing Galatasaray 4-0 at Anfield on Tuesday, overturning a 1-0 first-leg deficit.

Goals from Dominik Szoboszlai, Hugo Ekitike, Ryan Gravenberch, and Mohamed Salah set up a reunion with defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the last eight.

The win could save Liverpool's season, as they languish fifth in the Premier League, and may also save manager Arne Slot's job.

Galatasaray's hopes were dealt a massive blow when star striker Victor Osimhen injured his forearm in the first few minutes.

Szoboszlai has been Liverpool's outstanding performer in a troubled season, and he levelled the tie with a cushioned finish from a well-worked corner on 25 minutes.

The floodgates opened in the second half, with Salah atoning for a penalty miss with an inch-perfect pass for Ekitike to slot home.

Salah also registered his 50th Champions League goal in style with a spectacular strike from Florian Wirtz's backheel.
