No Indian player has yet qualified for the 126th US Open, but Manav Shah is set to make history as one of five players of Indian heritage to participate in the tournament.

Shah, a 34-year-old American from Bakersfield, California, has had a remarkable journey in golf, traveling the world and playing on various tours, including the PGA Tour, LIV Golf, and the DP World Tour.

He has been a part of the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) for the past two years and has had three top-five finishes in the league this season.

Shah believes his experience in Asia will give him an edge in the US Open, which will be played at the demanding Shinnecock Hills next month.

He plans to visit the course during the weekend and play a few rounds to get familiar with the layout and conditions.

Shah is confident that his skills and experience will help him navigate the challenging course and make a strong impression in his first major championship.
