As the 2026 World Cup draws near, Spain has cemented its position as the world's top-ranked team, according to the latest FIFA rankings. The US, Mexico, and Canada will host tournament games in the summer, with Mexico kicking off against South Africa on June 11. The US will face Paraguay on June 12, while Canada's opening opponent has yet to be determined. Defending champions Argentina ranks second, followed by France at third. England and Brazil complete the top five. The top 10 remains unchanged from the November poll. Morocco, a dark horse contender, will enter the World Cup year ranked 11th.
