CHARLOTTE, N.C. - In a significant move, Spire Motorsports has announced a long-term contract extension with rising star Carson Hocevar, securing his presence in the No. 77 Chevrolet for at least the next four seasons. The 23-year-old Michigan native, who claimed the 2024 Cup Series Rookie of the Year title, will continue to drive for the team after making a strong impression with nine top-10 finishes, including two second-place finishes, in his first full season. The deal, which extends Hocevar's tenure with Spire into the next decade, has been welcomed by the team's co-owner, Jeff Dickerson. "This extension is a significant moment for our company, as it provides stability and gives our sponsors and competitors the confidence to plan for the future," Dickerson said. Hocevar's journey with Spire has been marked by growth and learning, both on and off the track. Despite making mistakes, he has developed a strong bond with the team, and his commitment to Spire has been a key factor in the team's growth. "It's been an incredible experience getting to know Carson and watching him grow as a driver and a person," Dickerson added. The 2024 season will see Hocevar team up with Michael McDowell and newcomer Daniel Suarez, as they look to build on their success in the Cup Series. Hocevar's extension also gives him the opportunity to compete in Spire's Truck Series entry and dirt late model, further expanding his racing horizons. "This extension is a testament to our commitment to each other and our shared passion for racing," Hocevar said. "I'm excited to be part of a family-like atmosphere at Spire and look forward to many more years of racing together."
