The India Consulate in Canada confirmed her identity, expressing shock and sadness at her tragic death. A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Abdul Ghafoori, a 32-year-old suspect wanted for first-degree murder, which carries a life sentence without parole. The Toronto Police started investigating after a missing person report was filed on Friday, and a body was found the next morning. According to police, the victim and suspect were in an intimate partner relationship, but no motive for the crime has been disclosed. The Consulate has been in close touch with the family and is providing all possible assistance in coordination with local authorities.
