Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of late actors Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, has been arrested in connection with their murders. In a 2018 podcast episode, 'Dopey,' Reiner opened up about his struggles with addiction, revealing multiple stints in rehab and a history of homelessness. Reiner discussed his frustration after being 'sequestered' in his parents' guest house, where he 'punched out different things' due to substance abuse. He recalled an incident where he went on a cocaine and substance binge, leading to a violent outburst that damaged items in the guest house. This incident prompted another stint in rehab. In the podcast, Reiner also shared that he chose to be homeless rather than return to rehab, living on the streets in several states. His addiction issues and subsequent actions have led to his current situation. On December 14, the Los Angeles police found the bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner inside their Brentwood home. Nick Reiner is now being held in administrative segregation and on suicide watch at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles, facing murder charges without bail.
