Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has opened up about the struggles he faced early in his career. Speaking at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2025, the actor revealed how his initial success with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT) led to a string of disappointing projects that left him feeling 'unhappy' and 'unfulfilled'. Khan, who became an overnight sensation after QSQT's success, was overwhelmed with film offers. However, he soon realized that he was signing projects without carefully considering the director, script, or producer. This led to a series of flops, which earned him the label of a 'one film wonder'. In an emotional account, Khan revealed that he felt his career was on the brink of collapse. 'I was like, "I am sunk! My career is going to go down the drain in this manner!" I used to come home in the evening and cry,' he said. Khan vowed to never compromise on his work again and eventually found success with films like Dil, Raja Hindustani, and Sarfarosh in the 1990s. Today, Khan is a household name, with blockbuster films like Ghajini, 3 Idiots, PK, and Dangal under his belt. His recent release, Sitaare Zameen Par, has also crossed the ₹200 crore mark worldwide. Khan's journey serves as a testament to his perseverance and commitment to his craft.
