Actor Akshay Kumar has reacted to the ongoing LPG cylinder shortage in Mumbai by revealing that his wife-author Twinkle Khanna has already bought two induction stoves. Speaking at a press conference, Akshay said that his wife ordered the induction stoves as an alternative to LPG cylinders. He also encouraged the media to buy induction stoves, saying, 'So you should also buy one.'

Akshay was part of the event along with Mumbai BJP president Ameet Satam to announce the launch of the BMC's Mumbai Clean League. The LPG crisis has been affecting many households and restaurants across Mumbai due to the conflict in West Asia, which has choked supplies of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to India.

Akshay and Twinkle have been married since January 2001 and have two children. Twinkle is a bestselling author with several books to her credit, including Mrs Funnybones and The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad.

Akshay is currently working on several projects, including Bhooth Bangla, Welcome to the Jungle, and Hera Pheri 3. He also has Priyadarshan's Haiwaan in the pipeline, starring Saif Ali Khan.
