The highly anticipated Telugu film Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, has been postponed indefinitely due to a financial dispute between its producers and Eros International Media Limited. The film was set to release on December 5 but was halted at the last minute after Eros approached the Madras High Court over unpaid dues of around ₹28 crore plus interest. Producer Suresh Babu, known for his work on Psych Siddhartha, came out in support of the Akhanda 2 team during a recent press meet in Hyderabad. When questioned about the financial troubles plaguing the film's producers, Suresh Babu expressed his concerns, stating that the issue was 'going too much to the street.' He emphasized that such financial matters should not be discussed publicly, as it may cause unnecessary speculation among the audience. Suresh Babu also pointed out that financial issues are nothing new in the film industry and that the audience should focus on enjoying the movie rather than being bogged down by such details. 'Why are we giving those details?' he asked. 'If you plan it earlier, it's usually sorted.' The postponement of Akhanda 2 has left fans and exhibitors alike speculating about the film's future. While the production house announced that the release was postponed due to 'unavoidable circumstances,' the actual reason behind the delay remains a point of contention. The court will now decide on the matter, and it remains to be seen when Akhanda 2 will finally hit the screens.
