Celina Jaitly Seeks Help from Delhi HC as Brother Remains Detained in UAE for 15 Months

Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has shared an emotional update on social media following a significant development in her brother's case. Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly has been detained in the UAE since September 2024. In a recent hearing at the Delhi High Court, the Ministry of External Affairs was directed to facilitate communication between Celina and her brother. The court instructed the MEA to appoint a nodal officer to coordinate with UAE authorities and use available channels to establish contact. Celina expressed gratitude to the court and the Additional Solicitor General, Chetan Sharma, for acknowledging her family's contributions to the Indian armed forces. Although she has not been able to speak to her brother yet, Celina remains hopeful, with the next court hearing scheduled for December 23. The actress has asked the media to contact her leading counsel, Raghav Kacker, for further information.
