However, her fans have come to her defense, saying that she doesn't need to post publicly to show appreciation for her husband Ranveer Singh's performance.
Many pointed out that the couple lives together and that Ranveer gave three years of his life to the film, and that they even had a baby during that time.
Deepika was seen with Ranveer on Sunday, and the two posed for selfies with fans outside a restaurant in Mumbai.
The film has minted over ₹700 crore worldwide in just four days, making it one of the biggest box-office opening-weekend hauls in Indian cinema.
