Aanand L Rai's romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein has achieved a remarkable milestone, crossing the ₹100 crore mark at the worldwide box office in less than a week of its release. The film, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, has collected ₹77.85 crore net and ₹92.65 crore gross in India, along with ₹8.50 crore from overseas markets, totaling ₹101.15 crore in six days. This achievement comes despite a 33% dip in collections in India on Wednesday. The film's opening week saw a strong start, with ₹16 crore in India and ₹22 crore worldwide. Interestingly, Tere Ishk Mein is performing better in Hindi than in Tamil. The film's success is significant, as it needs to earn ₹138.1 crore to surpass Dhanush's previous film, Kuberaa, and ₹109.50 crore to beat De De Pyaar De 2. In comparison, the highest-grossing romantic drama, Saiyaara, stands at an impressive ₹569.75 crore. Tere Ishk Mein is a love story that explores the tumultuous relationship between Shankar, played by Dhanush, and Mukti, played by Kriti Sanon. The film marks the third collaboration between Aanand L Rai and Dhanush, following Raanjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021). Discussing the film, Dhanush mentioned that his character Shankar is easier to like but comes with his own emotional weight, setting the stage for a captivating love story.
