Veteran Bollywood superstar Dharmendra passed away on November 24, two weeks before his 90th birthday. He died at his Mumbai home due to age-related illnesses, leaving his family and fans in mourning. Before his passing, Dharmendra completed his final film, Ikkis, alongside Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda and Akshay Kumar's niece Simar Bhatia. The film, directed by Sriram Raghavan and set to release on December 25, tells the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, a posthumous recipient of India's highest military honor, the Param Vir Chakra. During the launch event of Ikkis' first song, 'Sitaare,' Agastya Nanda remembered his co-star and on-screen father, Dharmendra, saying, 'It's an honour and a huge privilege to have shared screen space with him. I'm extremely sad that he couldn't see the love he deserves.' Agastya, who portrays the role of Arun Khetarpal in the film, will be seen alongside Dharmendra as the character's father, Brigadier ML Khetarpal. Ikkis marks the Bollywood debut for Simar Bhatia, who plays Agastya's on-screen love interest, Kiran. Meanwhile, Agastya's theatrical debut comes after his first film, The Archies, which was released digitally in 2023.
