The first official teaser trailer of Dune Part Three has been released, promising an epic conclusion to the beloved trilogy. Director Denis Villeneuve has confirmed that the final instalment will take place 17 years after Dune: Part Two, with Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, now the emperor who must lead his people with power and force.
The teaser trailer opens with Paul and Chani (Zendaya) in a series of flashbacks, discussing baby names, before giving a sneak peek at the high-stakes that await Paul as he battles his inner thoughts. The trailer also gives a glimpse of major characters, including Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Jason Momoa’s Duncan Idaho and Robert Pattinson as the villain Scytale.
Reacting to the teaser, fans have praised the score, with Hans Zimmer's work being hailed as 'genius.' The trailer ends with Paul's declaration: 'I'm not afraid to die. But I must not die yet.'
Dune: Part Three is set to release in theatres on December 18, 2026.
