The cast and crew of Ikkis paid a heartfelt tribute to Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India's youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, at a Mumbai event. The film, set to release on December 25, tells the untold story of Khetarpal's bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war. Agastya Nanda will portray Khetarpal in the film, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is also notable for being the final film appearance of late actor Dharmendra. At the event, Nanda, who played Khetarpal in the film, got emotional as he recalled his journey and praised the young soldier's bravery. Addressing school kids, Nanda said, 'I hope you'll learn from Arun Khetarpal's story, that you're never too young to change the world.' The event concluded with the unveiling of a tank in remembrance of Khetarpal's contribution to the 1971 war. Lt. Gen. D.S. Kushwah and other Indian Army officials attended the event, along with the film's lead cast. The tribute was a poignant gesture ahead of the film's release, which is set to inspire audiences with the story of India's youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee.
