The Voice of Hind Rajab, an Oscar-nominated film, has been blocked from release in India due to concerns that it may harm the country's relationship with Israel.

The film's distributor, Manoj Nandwana, reported that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) refused to certify the film, citing fears that it would 'break up the India-Israel relationship.'

However, Nandwana disputed this claim, stating that the India-Israel relationship is 'strong' and that the film's release would not have a significant impact.

The Voice of Hind Rajab is a docudrama based on a true story about the killing of a 6-year-old Palestinian girl, Hind Rajab, and her family members by Israeli security forces in Gaza in 2024.

The film had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival and won several awards, including the Grand Jury Prize. It was also nominated for the Best Non-English Language Film at the Golden Globe Awards and the Best International Feature Film at the Oscars.
