BJP leader and veteran actor Jaya Prada has praised Aditya Dhar's spy thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge, while also addressing those criticizing the film.
Speaking to ANI, Jaya Prada highlighted the film's uniqueness and the hard work of the cast and crew, urging everyone to watch it and appreciate it.
The film, which stars Ranveer Singh as Jaskirat, an Indian spy embedded in the gangs of Pakistan, has received both praise and criticism. While it has been a critical and commercial success, minting over ₹700 crore worldwide in four days, some have called it 'brain rot' and 'propaganda' for the ruling party.
However, the response in the film industry has been overwhelmingly positive, with several celebrities hailing the film for its early success.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is the sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar, which became the highest-grossing Hindi film of that year. The film continues the story of undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh, and features an ensemble cast including R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun.
