Bollywood actress and politician Kangana Ranaut is pushing back against allegations that she littered in the historic city of Varanasi. A video circulating on social media appeared to show Kangana discarding a plate on the street, but she claims the footage is misleading. In a statement on Instagram, Kangana shared a picture of the scene from a different angle, pointing out a nearby dustbin where the plate was actually disposed of. 'Verify facts before publishing lies,' she wrote in response to the initial reports. This is not the first time Kangana has faced controversy; she made headlines earlier this year after winning the Lok Sabha elections from the Mandi constituency with a significant margin. Despite facing a physical altercation at the Chandigarh airport shortly after her win, Kangana maintained that she was safe and unharmed. A native of Himachal Pradesh, Kangana rose to fame in the early 2000s with films like Gangster and Raaz 2, eventually becoming one of the most successful actresses of her generation with a string of blockbuster hits and four National Awards to her name.
