Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna is currently basking in the glory of his successful film Dhurandhar, with fans going crazy over his entry dance to Fa9la. Amidst the buzz, an old video of Kareena Kapoor has surfaced, where she confesses to being smitten with Akshaye back in the day. In an interview from 2004, during the promotions of Hulchul, Kareena shared her admiration for Akshaye. She revealed that she had watched his film Himalaya Putra at least 20 times as a schoolgirl, with him being the latest heartthrob. "Girls were crazy about him, and I was one of them too," she said. Kareena described Akshaye as "cute, adorable, and a good human being" with "mind-blowing" performances. She went on to say that he was the perfect candidate to make a mark in Hollywood. Hulchul, a romantic comedy directed by Priyadarshan, was a remake of the 1991 Malayalam film Godfather. The film featured an ensemble cast and revolved around two feuding families and a romance between Akshaye and Kareena's characters. Akshaye's recent films, including Chhaava and Dhurandhar, have received widespread acclaim, with the latter collecting ₹193 crore worldwide. His upcoming projects include Mahakali and Prasanth Varma's directorial, where he will play Shukracharya. Kareena, on the other hand, will be seen in Meghna Gulzar's Daayra, alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, which is currently under production and expected to release in 2026.
