Actor Sameera Reddy revealed that her husband, businessman Akshai Varde, mistook her for Lara Dutta when they first met during a film shoot. In a recent interview, Akshai spoke about the incident, saying he was told it would be a good opportunity to provide a bike from his company, Vardenchi Motorcycles, and be on the shoot. He thought Sameera was Lara Dutta, but when he reached the shoot, he thought something was wrong because it didn't look like the person he was picturing.
After a clip of the interview was posted on Sameera and Akshai's Instagram accounts, his mother, Manjri Varde, apologised for her 'corporate' son, saying life brings such crazy and wonderful surprises. Fans thought it was hilarious that she was apologising on behalf of her son.
Sameera and Akshai got married on January 21, 2014, in a Maharastrian ceremony, and they have two children together, Hans Varde and Nyra Varde.
