Filmmaker Mohit Suri has put to rest reports of him collaborating with actor Ranbir Kapoor on his next film. Speaking with Variety India, Mohit clarified that the reports aren't true, but he 'genuinely' wants to work with Ranbir.
Mohit praised Ranbir, calling him 'a great star' and saying that he has the depth and layered nuances that his kind of films need. He added that Ranbir has been following his career right from the beginning and appreciates his films, even the ones that didn't do well at the box office.
Mohit is known for films such as Aashiqui 2, Malang, Awarapan, Ek Villain, and Ek Villain Returns. His latest directorial release is Saiyaara, which emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of last year.
Ranbir Kapoor, on the other hand, has several projects lined up, including Nitesh Tiwari's two-part epic Ramayana and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial Love and War.
