Actor Nora Fatehi has addressed the controversy surrounding her song, Sarke Chunar, from the Kannada film KD: The Devil. She claims she only performed in the original Kannada version and had no knowledge of a Hindi version being released.

Nora took to Instagram to distance herself from the song, urging fans to stop sharing it and thanking those who had criticized it, which led to the filmmakers removing the video featuring her and Sanjay Dutt.

The performer stated that she did not sign on for the Hindi version and no permission was taken to use her image in it. She advised against attacking her character in the process of criticizing the song.

The controversy began when the song's lyrics were deemed vulgar and the I&B Minister assured a ban was in place. The song's original translator, Raqueeb, claimed he only translated the lyrics and did not endorse them.
