Actor Pankaj Tripathi is using his platform to raise awareness about the importance of taking care of the environment. Ahead of World Environment Day, he shares his personal experiences and measures he has adopted to minimize his carbon footprint.

Tripathi, who has been shooting for his upcoming film The Metro...In Dino, has been working towards reducing his environmental impact. He recalls his experience while shooting for Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga, where he witnessed the man-animal conflict in the jungles.

He has adopted several measures to reduce his carbon footprint, including cooking his own food, using steel utensils, and avoiding plastic. Tripathi also emphasizes the importance of individual effort in bringing about change, stating that if everyone starts making small changes, it can lead to a significant impact.

The actor, who was born and raised in a village in Bihar, has a deep connection with nature. He recalls the importance of trees in his village and the impact of deforestation. Tripathi stresses the need for co-existence and suggests that trees should be planted in double the quantity if any are cut down.

He also shares an incident where he saw trees being cut down to make way for a highway, but was impressed by the mega plantation happening on both sides of the highway. Tripathi praises this approach and urges everyone to take individual responsibility for taking care of the environment.
