Pawan Kalyan's Ustaad Bhagat Singh hit the screens on Thursday, but the film's box office collections were severely impacted by the release of Dhurandhar 2.
The Telugu mass action thriller, directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, opened with domestic collections of around ₹31.50 crore net.
While this may seem like a big number, it's significantly lower than the ₹50 crore mark that Telugu mass action films featuring A-list stars typically open at.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh registered an occupancy of around 70% in the Telugu states, but was overshadowed by Dhurandhar 2, which registered over 75% occupancy in the region.
Dhurandhar 2 earned over ₹25 crore in the Telugu states, through both its Hindi and Telugu versions, while Ustaad Bhagat Singh's collections were clearly impacted by the clash.
