Priyadarshan, the prolific director, is returning to Hindi films with Bhooth Bangla, a horror-comedy that has fans excited. Despite the release of action-packed films like Dhurandhar 2, Priyadarshan believes his film's unique selling point is its appeal to a wider audience, including families.
According to Priyadarshan, the 'area of exploitation' for horror-comedies is larger than action films because they appeal to a universal audience. He explained, “I think our area of exploitation is bigger, and people like to see different things. That is our biggest plus point with Bhooth Bangla. Moreover, this is a pure entertainment, a fun film; it is not as intense as Border or Dhurandhar. People enjoy every kind of film. I believe as long as the film is holding the attention and interest of people, every film will work.”
Bhooth Bangla, presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, stars Akshay Kumar along with Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi in prominent roles. The film marks Akshay and Priyadarshan's reunion after over a decade and releases on April 10.
