Actor Rahul Roy, known for his iconic role in the 1990 blockbuster Aashiqui, has broken his silence on the recent social media chatter surrounding his appearance in a series of reels with a relatively unknown content creator.

Addressing the buzz, Rahul hinted at financial strain linked to ongoing legal matters and called out trolls who mocked him and his struggles, asserting that such reactions reveal more about them than him.

Rahul's recent reels with content creator Dr Vanita Ghadage Desai sparked both concern and curiosity among social media users, with some expressing concern for the actor while others trolled him, dismissing the videos as cringe.

In a note shared on Instagram, Rahul wrote that if people ridicule his 'simplicity or make fun of his struggles', it reflects more on them than it does on him.

He also hinted at financial strain, revealing that he is dealing with legal matters that require significant expenses and emphasized the importance of staying active following his recovery from a brain stroke in 2020.

Rahul rose to fame with Aashiqui and went on to appear in several films, including Junoon, Dilwale Kabhi Na Hare, and Gumrah, but his subsequent films failed to click at the box office, leading to a career decline.
