The actor expressed his sadness that Smita's life was tragically cut short at the age of 31, saying, 'She gave us so little time to know you.' Despite her short career, Smita's legacy continues to inspire countless hearts, and her impact on Indian cinema remains unparalleled. Smita married Raj in 1983, after meeting on the sets of Bheegi Palkein in 1982. Her marriage to Raj lasted until her untimely death from childbirth complications in 1986.
