Actor Rana Daggubati has shared a heart-stopping experience from his time filming in a dense forest for his 2021 movie, Aranya. The actor, who spent six months in the jungle while shooting for the film, recounted a harrowing incident where he had to hide from a herd of wild elephants that were passing through an elephant corridor. The unit had exceeded their allotted time, and when the elephants approached, "many people in the unit started running," Rana recalled. As the elephants continued to cross the area, Rana and his team were forced to remain silent and hidden for an agonizing three hours in the dark jungle. For Rana, it was his first experience of the jungle's intensity, and it left a lasting impression on him. The film, which was released in three languages, including Hindi as Haathi Mere Saathi, received a direct OTT release due to COVID-19. In recent years, Rana has appeared in several projects, including a cameo in Mirai and SS Rajamouli's re-release of Baahubali: The Epic. He also starred in Kaantha and is set to feature in Parasakthi, a Tamil film. Additionally, Rana has ventured into production, presenting Kothapallilo Okappudu and Kaantha this year, in addition to Premante.
