Rani Mukerji has once again taken on the role of SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3, a gripping cop drama released last Friday. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the movie has garnered positive reviews for Rani's performance and has been performing steadily at the box office. According to the latest update from Sacnilk, Mardaani 3 raked in ₹2.43 crore on its fifth day of release, taking the film's total collection to ₹22.18 crore. The movie's highest single-day collection of ₹7.25 crore was achieved on its first Sunday. However, Mardaani 3 is facing stiff competition from Border 2, which has been a box office sensation for two weeks. Rani Mukerji expressed her gratitude for the film's reception, stating, 'Mardaani 3 has done its job if it has moved, disturbed, or inspired you to think differently. We need to protect and empower our girls, not just sympathize with them.' The movie follows Shivani's investigation into the disappearance of 93 young girls over the past three months. Mardaani 3 also stars Janki Bodiwala and Mallika Prasad, and marks Rani's third portrayal of the character, following the success of Mardaani (2014) and Mardaani 2.
