In a significant move, the Detroit Pistons have strengthened their roster by acquiring Kevin Huerter in a four-player, three-team trade, according to sources close to the deal. The Eastern Conference leaders have added Huerter and Dario Saric from the Chicago Bulls, while Chicago received Mike Conley Jr. from Minnesota and Jaden Ivey from the Pistons. Huerter, enjoying a standout season, will join the Pistons as they aim for a deep playoff run in the East. The team's reliance on three-pointers could increase with Huerter's arrival, complementing the existing threat from Duncan Robinson. Ivey, who spent four seasons with the Pistons, struggled this season due to knee surgery complications, averaging a career-low 8.2 points in 16.8 minutes per game. Conley's departure from Minnesota will save the team around $20 million in taxes, potentially paving the way for future moves, including a pursuit of Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo. Huerter is averaging nearly 11 points this season and will become a free agent this summer. The trade was first reported by ESPN and awaits league approval.
