Dhurandhar 2, the Ranveer Singh-starrer, has regained momentum at the box office, crossing the ₹500 crore mark and beating Baahubali 2's record. The film earned ₹519.12 crore in its domestic haul, with ₹65 crore net earned on Monday alone.
The film's occupancy of over 30% in morning shows on Monday is a staggering achievement, and the footfall is expected to increase during evening and night shows.
Dhurandhar 2 has now become the fastest Indian film to cross the ₹500 crore net mark, ahead of Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2. It has also crossed the all-time record set by Baahubali 2's Hindi version, which earned ₹511 crore net in 2017.
The film is expected to look to cross the earnings of recent blockbusters like Gadar 2, Pathaan, and Animal, and many trade pundits are betting on it to break Dangal's all-time record of ₹2070 crore.
