Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar has reached a major milestone, surpassing ₹648 crore in domestic earnings after 22 days in theaters. This achievement has catapulted the Aditya Dhar-directed film to the top of the highest-grossing Bollywood films in India, pushing Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan to second place. With its sights set on ₹700 crore domestically, Dhurandhar may challenge the record held by Pushpa 2: The Rule for the highest collection by a Hindi film in India. Dhurandhar's success is evident in its fourth week at the box office, where it raked in a net collection of over ₹15 crore. This brings its domestic total to ₹648.50 crore net. The film, which stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian operative infiltrating Karachi's gang and terror networks, has also beaten the lifetime collections of several other Bollywood films, including Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava and Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2. Bollywood's ₹500 crore club has welcomed several new members, including Animal, Gadar 2, and Pathaan. Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan was the first film to enter this exclusive club, breaking Aamir Khan's seven-year record held by Dangal. The sports drama had earned ₹387 crore in India in all languages. Other notable pan-India films with Hindi-dubbed versions that have crossed ₹500 crore include Baahubali 2 and Pushpa 2: The Rule. The latter holds the record for the highest domestic collection by a Hindi film, with a total of ₹812 crore. Pushpa 2 also holds the overall record for the highest collection in India by a film across all languages, with ₹1234 crore net. Dhurandhar's success is expected to continue, with its sequel set to release in March 2026. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, stars Ranveer Singh alongside Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan in key roles.
