Social media was abuzz with speculation about a potential Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi spinoff, but actor and former Union minister Smriti Irani has clarified that she is not associated with any other television project at present.
Several reports suggested that Star Plus was preparing to expand its primetime lineup with a new series titled Kyunki Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hain, which would be a spin-off connected to the flagship show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
However, Smriti Irani took to the comment section to set the record straight, stating that she is not associated with any other show except Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and that no spin-off program is authorised for her engagement legally.
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was a highly popular TV serial that ran on Star Plus from 2000 to 2008, and the reboot began airing last year, featuring Smriti Irani reprising her role as Tulsi Virani.
