Bollywood actor and former Miss India Pooja Batra recently spoke about the challenges she faced in the film industry due to her height. She revealed that she was often asked to perform splits to appear shorter than her male co-stars.
Pooja started her career as a model and later shifted to acting in Bollywood films. She recalled being told by Sangeeta Bijlani that she didn't have a chance in the movies because of her height.
However, Pooja's struggles eventually helped pave the way for taller actors like Deepika Padukone and Kriti Sanon to be accepted more comfortably in Bollywood.
Pooja added that she would do splits in front of the camera so that the heroes would look taller, and she paved the way for tall actresses like Deepika and Kriti.
Deepika is currently busy shooting for her upcoming film, King, while Kriti is awaiting the release of Cocktail 2.
