South Asian film organisation Tasveer has removed Aditya Dhar's film Dhurandhar 2 from its daily screening lineup at the Tasveer Film Centre. The decision was made to clarify that screening the movie was not an endorsement of its content. Tasveer, a Seattle-based non-profit organisation, showcases South Asian voices through cinema and is recognised by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Tasveer's Executive Director and Co-Founder, Rita Meher, acknowledged that the selection process for the film had been rushed and apologised to those affected. She stressed the organisation's inclusive mission, stating, 'We at Tasveer are Hindu, Muslim, agnostic, atheist - not one or the other; we are ONE group.'

Tasveer invited supporters to contribute to the organisation, noting the financial implications of pulling the film. The organisation is Oscar-qualifying, meaning films awarded at Tasveer can become eligible for Academy Award consideration.
