Austin Metcalf's father, Jeff Metcalf, delivered a powerful victim impact statement in court, scolding Karmelo Anthony for not meeting his gaze during the emotional address.
Jeff Metcalf urged Anthony, 19, to "don't look down" after he was convicted of first-degree murder for the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf in Texas.
During the statement, Metcalf addressed the allegations that his son and his twin brother Hunter had bullied Anthony, saying "My boys weren't bullies."
Metcalf expressed his anger and grief, stating that his son's death had destroyed the person he used to be and that he is expected to keep living without him.
He also blasted Anthony, saying "You failed your parents, you failed yourself, and you failed society... You don't belong in this community."
Karmelo Anthony received a 35-year prison sentence for the deadly stabbing of Austin Metcalf.
