Barron Trump, the 20-year-old son of former US President Donald Trump, is facing backlash over his new energy drink, SOLLOS, which costs $39 for a 12-pack.
The drink, made from a South American herbal tea, is being criticized for its premium price tag, especially when compared to other energy drinks like Red Bull, which can be found on Amazon for between $17 and $25.
The company behind SOLLOS is attempting to profit from merchandise linked to the Trump brand, offering a range of items including a $95 sweatshirt and a $30 baseball cap.
Founders Rodolfo Castillo, Spencer Bernstein, Stephen Hall, and Valentino Gomez, all friends from Palm Beach, collaborate with Barron, who is officially a member of the beverage brand's board.
The internet has been quick to criticize the drink, with many accusing Barron of being an out-of-touch grifter, especially given his father's economic policies, which have contributed to rising prices for Americans.
