Elon Musk is set to become the world's first trillionaire after SpaceX's highly anticipated initial public offering (IPO) on Friday.

The SpaceX founder, known for his ambitious goals and technological breakthroughs, is expected to break the trillion-dollar mark with the biggest IPO ever, despite the company's massive losses of $8.7 billion between 2025 and 2026.

The IPO, which will see 555.6 million shares on offer, is expected to raise $75 billion, surpassing Saudi Aramco's 2019 record of $26 billion.

Musk's net worth, estimated at $982.6 billion by Forbes, is largely due to his successful ventures, including Zip2 and PayPal, which he sold for $200 million, and his role as CEO of Tesla, which has returned 20,000% for shareholders since its IPO in 2010.

However, not all investors are thrilled about SpaceX's IPO, with some pension funds expressing concerns over the company's provisions, including 'super voting shares' and mandatory arbitration.
