An American Airlines flight attendant, Kellie Melinda Williams, tragically lost her life after being hit by a boat while snorkeling in South Florida.
The 31-year-old's body was found on a beach near Hollywood Beach by two fishermen, exhibiting injuries consistent with being struck by a vessel.
According to officials, Williams was snorkeling or diving in the vicinity of Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park on June 3.
Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation investigators are collaborating with detectives from Hollywood on the matter, but no information has been disclosed about the boat or individuals involved.
Williams, a skilled snorkeler, was originally from California and had recently relocated to Florida, where she got married within the last year.
