A 22-year-old master's student from Telangana, India, is fighting for her life in the United States after a tragic fall from a staircase at a transit station in the Chicago area.
Lagishetti Spandana, a student at Elmhurst University in Illinois, fell around 25 feet on May 30, resulting in severe injuries, including multiple hemorrhages, fractures, spinal injuries, bone dislocations, liver lacerations, and other traumatic injuries.
She is currently in intensive care and remains in a coma, with her family in Telangana seeking financial and travel support to be by her side.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to assist with the increasing medical and travel costs, which have exceeded $253,314.
