Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz in response to alleged ceasefire violations by the US and Israel, citing a breach of a peace agreement. The move comes after Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon killed at least 16 people, including two children, on Saturday.
The Iranian military described the closure as the 'first step' in response to what it described as breaches of commitments, warning that further measures would be taken if 'aggression' continued.
Iran's foreign ministry has also expressed concerns that the agreement signed with the US will be 'in trouble' unless its provisions are implemented soon.
