Karmelo Anthony was transferred to the Wallace Pack Unit in Texas to serve his 35-year sentence for the murder of Austin Metcalf. He was seen in a new mugshot with his head shaved, wearing a sleeveless tunic. Anthony, 19, has filed a notice of appeal following his conviction.

The Wallace Pack Unit is a medium-security prison located in Grimes County, Texas, near Navasota. It houses approximately 1,157 offenders and has a 12-bed infirmary, providing off-site medical, mental health, and dental services.

Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison for the 2025 murder of 17-year-old Metcalf, who was stabbed to death during a rain delay at a high school track meet. Anthony claimed he acted in self-defense.
