At least 12 people were injured in a shooting near a crowded street festival in Ohio's Toledo on Saturday. The incident occurred close to the Old West End Festival, a yearly two-day event featuring live music, food vendors, and shopping.
According to Toledo Deputy Police Chief Joe Heffernan, no suspects have been apprehended yet. He stated that at least two people discharged firearms and were likely 'shooting at each other.'
Two of the victims are in critical condition, and their ages varied from 14 to 61, with most being in their early 20s.
Police Lieutenant Dan Gerken said detectives are in the initial phases of a complicated investigation and are depending on evidence collected at the scene and information provided by the public.
Gerken appealed to anyone who has information, photographs, or videos pertinent to the shooting to reach out to investigators.
