Organisers have postponed the French capital's Pride March due to intense heatwave and police orders to avoid overwhelming response services.
Co-president of the Inter-LGBT association, Anouk Veyret, confirmed the decision, stating they may hold the event in September.
Paris police had threatened to ban the event if organisers didn't comply, citing a high risk of excessive strain on the healthcare system.
The Pride March in Lyon was also cancelled, with organisers citing poor weather conditions and the preceding heatwave.
